This confuses a lot of people, including me for a while. Myntra and Ajio each run two separate flagship sales a year, and the famous one isn’t the festive one.

Reporting points to a late September start, roughly overlapping with Big Billion Days and the Great Indian Festival — which makes sense, since none of these platforms wants to cede the festive window to the others.
I’ll be straight about the uncertainty here: Myntra hasn’t officially confirmed 2026 dates as I write this, and the third-party reports floating around genuinely disagree with each other. I’ve seen a September 22 start quoted, a September 23–October 6 window, and a September 27–October 8 window, all stated with equal confidence. That spread tells you they’re estimates, not announcements.
And there’s a bigger problem with all of them. Every one of those estimates sits in September — but the festivals these sales are built around moved this year. Navratri 2026 doesn’t begin until October 11, and Diwali falls on November 8, nearly three weeks later than in 2025. Last year the big festive sales lined up almost exactly with that window. If Myntra and Ajio follow the same logic, mid-October is a more sensible expectation than late September, and the September dates going around are probably just 2025’s numbers carried forward. Ajio All Stars Sale — what’s expected
Ajio’s festive event is expected around October — and given the calendar shift above, mid-to-late October looks more likely than early. The thing that genuinely sets it apart is length — reporting suggests it runs closer to three weeks, rather than the ten-day burst you get from Flipkart.
That matters practically. If you miss the first weekend of Big Billion Days, that deal is usually gone. Ajio’s longer run means there’s more room for a second look — though it also means the very best prices aren’t necessarily on day one, so there’s less reason to panic-buy in the opening hours.

All four events land in roughly the same festive window, which is the single best argument for not defaulting to one platform out of habit. - Sign up for Myntra Insider now, not during the sale — early access is only useful if the account already exists
- Note what you actually want, with current prices written down. Festive-season ”% off” badges are measured against MRP, and MRP inflation is real — I checked five live deals against their actual price history recently and every single “before” price was inflated
- Don’t assume the first day is the best day, especially on Ajio’s longer run
- Check both platforms for the same item. They stock a lot of the same brands, and the discounts genuinely don’t move together
